What does this Privacy Policy cover:
This Privacy Policy covers the Independent Living Resource Centre (ILRC) treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect when you are viewing our website (www.ilrc-nl.ca) and/or become a member of our website Members section (www.ilrc-nl.ca/members).
Information Collection:
ILRC collects personally identifiable information when you register to become a website member. When you register, we ask for some personal information such as your name and email address. Once you complete your registration, you are not anonymous to us.
Information Sharing and Disclosure:
ILRC will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. We keep personal information confidential unless we are required to disclose it by law. We use it for the purposes of contacting you and better understand who is using the site and how to continuously improve it. We will not sell, distribute, barter or transfer any personal identifiable information obtained through this site to a third party. ILRC employs reasonable safeguards in order to protect information held by us against interception or misuse of information by third parties. We do not have any responsibility for interception, alteration or misuse of information transmitted over the Internet.
ILRC may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:
• We have your consent to share the information;
• We need to share your information to provide the information you have requested; or
• We are requested to provide this information because we respond to subpoenas, court orders and legal processes.
Changes to this Privacy Policy:
ILRC may amend this policy from time to time. All substantial changes will be posted under the Welcome Section of our website and here on our privacy policy information page.
